Sailing Waddenzee

The Wadden Sea is one of the most beautiful waters in the Netherlands, and is perfectly suited for sailing. The Dutch part of the Wadden Sea lies between the North Sea and the five Dutch Wadden Islands, and the mainland.

Sailing Waddenzee is a beautiful trip! The are is of great ecological value and is a Unesco World heritage site. It abounds with birds that migrate through here, raise their young or stay for the summer or winter. If birds are not your thing, there are also porpoises and two kinds of seals, which are protected species.

Sailing the Wadden Sea

At Egasail we love to sail the Wadden Sea from our home port Monnickendam. Together we hoist the sails of our sturdy sea-tjalk Orion (built in 1892!) to visit one of the Wadden Islands. How about a day (or night!) on Texel, Vlieland or Terschelling?
