Sailing in the Netherlands
The Netherlands have a long and interesting relationship with water. From land reclamation to the Delta Works in Zeeland and the Afsluitdijk in the north: living with water is in our blood. The Wadden Sea, the Friesian Lakes, the IJsselmeer, the Markermeer and the Gouwzee are all wonderful areas to enjoy sailing in. The views across the water, the wind and the salty air will soon make you forget your troubles.
Sailing trip with a city break
From her home ports Monnickendam and Amsterdam, Egasail organises sailing trips throughout the Netherlands. We can sail the Dutch waters and visit most harbour towns with our trusty sailing ship Orion, built in 1892 and equipped with all modern comforts. How about a day trip to Volendam, or a weekend on the Friesian Lakes?
The Netherlands has many wonderful harbour towns, known for their attractions and their lovely atmosphere. A day’s sailing to Harlingen, Hoorn or Enkhuizen is a wonderful experience, combining active sailing with a cultural city break. Discover the possibilities on our Arrangements pages, or send an email to info@egasail.nl, attn. Wouter Egas, our skipper.
