Sailing Harlingen
Harlingen is one of the eleven Friesian cities visited during the famous Eleven Cities Tour. It is the gateway to Friesland for sailing vessels coming from the Wadden Sea. In the old harbour town, part its historical fortifications are still standing, and you can make wonderful walks along its beautiful canals and through its narrow alleyways.
Sailing Harlingen is the perfect getaway with recreation and culture! There are over 600 listed monuments in the town, such as historical warehouses and residences in the Dutch style. We can sail to the Friesian lakes through the Tsjerk Hiddes locks and the Haringsma channel. On a clear day there is a beautiful view from the beach of the Wadden island Terschelling.
Sailing to Harlingen with Egasail
Egasail is happy to organise sailing trips to Harlingen. During a multi-day trip we will spend lots of time on the water, but there is also plenty of time to explore the town. We spend the night in the historical city centre on board the sturdy sea-tjalk Orion. This impressive sailing charter vessel was built in 1892 but has all modern comforts. Below is an overview of our multi-day trips to Harlingen.
