From our home port Monnickendam, the Orion can sail the entire IJsselmeer, with optional stopovers in historical and picturesque places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Uitdam, Hoorn, Pampus fortress island and the De Blocq van Kuffeler pumping station.

These are all top attractions with lots of fun and interesting activities like having your (group) picture taken in historical folk costume in Volendam (hilarity guaranteed!), having a wine tasting session and visiting the cheese market in Edam, etc. At Egasail we can also take care of all your catering needs, leaving you completely free to enjoy yourselves.

Bachelor(ette) day programme

Below is an example of the itinerary for your most excellent bachelor day aboard the Orion! Of course there will be plenty to do for sailing enthusiasts: manning sheets and stays, the helm and leeboards, navigating, etc. Inexperienced can lend a hand too, but they can also enjoy each other’s company in the fresh air on deck, and if the weather is uncooperative you can all find shelter in our comfortable saloon where we can serve drinks and snacks. In case the weather turns really bad, we will continue under engine power.
