Professional cooperation

Would you like to bring your team’s cooperation to a higher level? Is your company plagued by internal strife? Then it is time to rise to the challenge. By means of serious sailing-based teambuilding training, we teach people to work together professionally and become a tightly knit team.

Participation

Both larger and smaller groups can participate in a professional cooperation teambuilding day, but for safety reasons we have put the maximum at 24 persons per sailing day. When applicable we can conduct multiple sessions for different levels or departments within your company. Sailing experience is not required.

NOTE: this option includes a very intensive professional programme with clearly stated end goals. If you are looking for a more playful day to spend with your colleagues, please take a look at our active sailing programme on the teambuilding page.

Wouter, your skipper and coach

Skipper and coach Wouter Egas has a Technical College degree in Project Management. As a Senior Project Manager for a large engineering firm he has helped to design and build petrochemical facilities in record time. The expertise and experience gained to bring these massive projects to a successful conclusion he now applies in his supervision of this professional cooperation teambuilding course.

Programme

An intake interview is organised beforehand, indicating all wishes, goals and problems. These points will then be converted into a definite programme. This programme is a process-based project, wherein the object of the sailing trip is to get from point A to point B with a well-organised team.

This team is responsible for manning the helm, mainsheet, backstays, jib, outer jib and leeboards, but it will also have to maintain control of navigation, tacking and the captain’s duties. All sorts of things are bound to go wrong, and this is where the real teambuilding starts. Confronted with real, practical problems that can only be solved by good cooperation, everyone will have to bring out the best in each other.

At the end of the day there will be an evaluation where all events and lessons learned will be discussed in an open and constructive manner. Workspace atmosphere and efficacy are guaranteed to be improved after returning, and your co-workers will be able to better rely on each other.

Organization, cooperation, communication, knowledge, motivation, trust and responsibility are the building blocks for success on both water and land.

Large companies such as ABN-AMRO, Fluor, Shell, ProRail, Municipality of Utrecht, Russell Investment Group, StadinZicht, Air traffic control, Rosco, MFI, Niteq, Projectcolor, Planon and British American Tobacco have preceded your company, and have brought their staff cooperation to a higher level by means of our sailing teambuilding training.
