Multiple days sailing are possible as below:
Weekend: Friday 21 hours till sunday 16 hours.
Long weekend: Friday 10 hours till sunday 16 hours. NEW
Schoolweek: Sunday 20 hours till Friday 08.30 hours.
Midweek: Monday 10 hours till Friday 16 hours
Week: Monday 10 hours till Sunday 16 hours or Saturday 10 hours till Friday 16 hrs.
Up to 18 beds are available for the passengers.
If case of more passengers we will sail with more charter ships.
The old port in the center of the city Monnickendam, is the home port of ORION.
From Monnickendam we sail to the Ijsselmeer, Waddenzee and Frisian lakes.
The following ports can be visited during a sail trip: Edam, Volendam, Marken, Uitdam, Pampus, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Medemblik, Stavoren, Makkum, Lemmer, Urk, the Frisian lakes, Muiden, Amsterdam, Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Den Oever and Harlingen
All these places have special occasions, such as Wine Tasting Victory Wines, or the cheese market in Edam, Eel smoking Smit Bokkum and the dike in Volendam, the wooden fishermen's houses in Marken, Fort Island of Pampus, the deep flood gates from the De Blocq Van Kuffeler, a traditional photograph in Volendam, a terrace from the VOC time Hoorn, The castle Muiderslot in Muiden. The Zuiderzee museum in Enkhuizen, The Female of Stavoren, A Walk in the center of Amsterdam, The fishing port of Urk, a surprising walk along the old houses in Monnickendam. The Old jutters museum on Texel. The quietness of Vlieland.
The lively port and shallows of Terschelling. The 5 ports and old town of Harlingen. The shops in Makkum. The castle and steam train in Medemblik. The fishing fleet in Den Oever. The tremendous water sports traffic over with the Frisian lakes.
In July and August Orion has as home port Den Oever from here we sail to the Waddenzee and the IJsselmeer.
Self catering facilities are available in the luxury kitchen.
