Do you have something to celebrate, or just want to sail with your colleagues, friends or family.
Multiple days sailing are possible as below:
Weekend: Friday 21 hours till sunday 16 hours.
Long weekend: Friday 10 hours till sunday 16 hours. NEW
Schoolweek: Sunday 20 hours till Friday 08.30 hours.
Midweek: Monday 10 hours till Friday 16 hours
Week: Monday 10 hours till Sunday 16 hours or Saturday 10 hours till Friday 16 hrs.
The old port in the center of the city Monnickendam, is the home port of ORION. From Monnickendam we sail to the Ijsselmeer, Waddenzee and Frisian lakes.
Catering we can provide to you, self-catering is also possible.
Prices from € 105, = p.p. excluding catering, based on 18 persons.
An example of a weekend trip sailing:
Friday 21 hours embark the ship and welcome with a drink. You can explore the ship, and sit comfortable in the cabin on board or go onshore and visit the cozy cafes of Monnickendam. Sleep. Saturday breakfast. 10 hours Orion leaves the harbor and we hoist the sails. We sail to the Gouwzee and Markermeer. We are comfortable moving with the wind. For the sailing enthusiasts, there is plenty to do, to become one with the elements. The ruder, the ropes, the dagger boards, navigation and last but not least, tacking. The passive sailors can sit and relax in- or outside. In case of rain, the cabin is available to keep everyone dry.
Sail will be reduced in case of too much wind, in order to sail safe and comfortable.
At noon the lunch is available. Lunch will be offered during sailing, or we will visit a harbor to eat comfortable, in case of high waves. In the afternoon we will continue to sail and nobody will be skipped for a snack or drink. We will enter a new harbor in the late afternoon. You can explore the new harbor and have dinner at the ship or on shore. The evening can be spent at the ship or you visit the new place onshore. To get some sleep after a day of sailing is no problem. Sunday after the breakfast we will plan our route to Monnickendam. At 16 hours we will debark at Monnickendam.
Up to 18 beds are available for passengers.
If case of more passengers we will sail with more charter ships.
