Incentive sailing
Enjoy a day of sailing with your colleagues or business partners. A fresh wind will quickly forget your work surroundings. Active or passive sailing, inside or outside, eat and drink, everything is possible.
Incentive sailing days are possible at any day of the week.
The old port in the center of Monnickendam, is the home port of "Orion". From Monnickendam we sail to the IJsselmeer. The following ports can be visited during a daytrip: Edam, Volendam, Marken, Uitdam, Horn, Pampus, The Van Kuffeler Blocq.
All these places have special occasions, such as Wine Tasting Victory Wines, or the cheese market in Edam, Eel smoking Smit Bokkum and the dike in Volendam, the wooden fishermen's houses in Marken, Fort Island of Pampus, the deep flood gates from the De Blocq Van Kuffeler, a traditional photograph in Volendam, a terrace from the VOC time Hoorn, The castle Muiderslot in Muiden.

An example of an incentive sailing day:
10 hours embark the ship and welcome with a cup of coffee and cake. 10.30 hours Orion leaves the harbor and we hoist the sails. We sail to the Gouwzee and Markermeer. We are comfortable moving with the wind. For the sailing enthusiasts, there is plenty to do, to become one with the elements. The ruder, the ropes, the dagger boards, navigation and last but not least, tacking. The passive sailors can sit and relax in- or outside.
In case of rain, the cabin is available to keep everyone dry.
Sail will be reduced in case of too much wind, in order to sail safe and comfortable. At noon the lunch is available. Lunch will be offered during sailing, or we will visit a harbor to eat comfortable, in case of high waves. In the afternoon we will continue to sail and nobody will be skipped for a snack or drink.
In the post-afternoon we will anchor at a quiet spot to enjoy the BBQ. At 17 hours, or later if you want, we will debark at Monnickendam.
